Welcome to Vishpala

by objectis last modified 2006-12-13 04:55

Vishpala is the manoeuvre.org alpha and beta test site where we try to break things. For this reason it is usually not so pleasant to visit {wink}. Happy breaking!

Quick Start Some useful Accessibility hints if you are new to our site: URL Surfing If you require complete site URL's for surfing you will want to go to http://vishpala.objectis.net/ rather than http://vishpala.org/ or http://vishpala.com/ . This will allow you to bookmark URL's and to find specific items using text browsing. Access Keys Access key + 4 focuses the LiveSearch field - you can start writing your search terms straight away, and have all your information at your fingertips without leaving the keyboard. For information about how to use access keys in your particular browser, see the "Accessibility page":http://vishpala.objectis.net/accessibility-info Languages Our site will automatically be displayed in the language your browser asks for. Keeping things Accessible For the time being we are using Structured Text as it helps us to maintain a 100% accessible website. In the near future we will have instructions on how to use your favourite editor to add content. In the mean time, before starting and or saving any content please choose 'Structured Text' as the text format. Thanks, if you can't get the hang of it we would be more than happy to assist you, just drop us a line or leave a comment on this page at the bottom. We are more than happy to provide free phone support for the time being for North America only. EMail is disabled Email has not been enabled on the site. This means that if you use the 'email password' or email icons on items you will get an error. This will not be working until after April 15h, 2006 Ubuntu Dapper Installation Right now we are document the installation (and upgrade from Breezy) of Ubuntu Dapper. Ubuntu Dapper will be "hitting the streets" in June 2006 and looks as if it will be the first mainstream Linux that will include accessibility options for most users and includes options for limited vision and blind users as well as for individuals with limited mobility and/or coordination. We commend Ubuntu for at making this happen, Thank You Wiki Fun! We are currently testing out a Wiki product, try it out "here":http://vishpala.objectis.net/wiki/wiki_content/MainWikiPage/
